How it works
What is Clear Water Technology?
Clear Water Technology is uGlow's clear, water-based tanning technology with no traditional colour guide. It reduces the mess and visible transfer you get with colour-guide tans, while developing into a natural-looking glow.
If it goes on clear, how do I know where I've applied it?
Spritz in sections and blend each one straight away with the uGlow mitt, working in the same order every time. It quickly becomes second nature. For your face and hands, spray onto the brush first, then sweep it on for more control.
Will it make me look orange?
No. There's no brown or orange colour guide sitting on your skin. The colour develops with your own skin tone, and because it builds gradually, you decide how deep you go.

Using uGlow
How do I use it?
Start with clean, dry skin. Spritz uGlow Tanning Water on after your toner, blend with the mitt, and use the brush for your face and hands. Wash your hands afterwards.
How quickly can I get dressed?
uGlow dries in moments, so you can get dressed straight away and carry on with your day. It won't transfer onto clothes or bedding.
Can I put make-up on over it?
Yes. Apply uGlow before your make-up, then carry on with your routine as normal.
When can I shower?
For the best result, give your glow around six hours to develop before you shower. That's development time, not a wash-off deadline: there's no colour guide to rinse away, so shower whenever suits you.
Can I apply it at night?
Yes. Let it dry, then go to bed. Your glow develops overnight, and there's nothing to mark your sheets.
Can I build a deeper tan?
Yes. Use it every day or every other day to top up. Each application builds the colour gradually until you reach the depth you want, then top up to keep it there.
Do I need to scrub off my old tan before reapplying?
No. uGlow is designed to be topped up, not stripped off and started again. Gentle exfoliation a couple of times a week keeps skin smooth, especially on elbows, knees and ankles.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes. Spray onto the brush and sweep it over your face for a light, controlled finish. It's also the easy way to top up your face and hands between professional spray tans.
Skin and ingredients
Does it smell?
uGlow is fragrance-free with minimal odour. Instead of covering the smell of tanning with perfume, we've formulated it to keep that tell-tale odour to a minimum, so you can wear your own fragrance as normal.
What does the hyaluronic acid do?
Hyaluronic acid helps keep skin soft and hydrated while your colour develops. Hydrated skin also helps your glow look even as it fades.
I have sensitive skin. Can I use uGlow?
uGlow is rated 91/100, Excellent on the Yuka app, which independently scores what's in the products you use. Everyone's skin is different, so if yours is sensitive or reactive, patch test before your first full application and follow any advice from your healthcare professional.
Does it protect my skin from the sun?
No. uGlow gives you a glow without UV, but a tan from uGlow gives no sun protection, so keep using your SPF.
